Crystal Wagner Hyperbolic
Crystal Wagner, a multidisciplinary artist from U.S., in Polish city of Lodz created a large-scale outdoor installation, whose organic form stood out spectacularly against the gray background of facade of a 100-year-old Art Nouveau building.
Crystal named her new work Hyperbolic, emphasizing creative tool of visual exaggeration. A huge fantastic creature in shades of pink, purple, blue, white and black tentacles enmeshed the walls, balconies, window openings, as if “devouring” architectural details of the building. She used non-traditional materials – nylon, wire netting and cable ties, whose flexibility makes it possible to realize almost any artistic image conceived.
The colorful installation, organically integrated into the context of urban landscape, is designed for a 3-month demonstration. Thanks to numerous photographs, unusual organic form of installation can surprise viewers at any time.
