Clingy bear cubs, a lion-hearted discussion, and a gecko grin are just a few of the giggle-worthy finalists in this year’s Nikon Comedy Wildlife Photography Awards. From nearly 9,000 submissions from photographers in 98 countries, jurors selected 40 entries for the final round, illuminating a wide range of mammals, amphibians, fish, and fowl around the world.
Co-founded in 2015 by professional photographers Paul Joynson-Hicks MBE and Tom Sullamto, the competition fuses wildlife photography with the powerful positivity of humor to help promote conservation around the planet.
Browse the finalist gallery on the contest’s website, where you can also cast your vote for the People’s Choice Award through October 31. Winners will be announced on December 10 and on display for one week, from December 10 to 16, at Gallery@Oxo in London.
